OUR APPROACH

Advancement as Ministry™

The scriptural conviction at the heart of how we serve Christian schools and nonprofits.

ROOTED IN SCRIPTURE

The Conviction Beneath the Framework

At its core, Advancement as Ministry™ is about inviting people into the work God is already doing.

01

2 CORINTHIANS 9:12

Advancement is Ministry

“For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.”

Advancement is the faithful work of connecting God’s people to God’s mission. Done biblically, it leads people toward gratitude, worship, and dependence on God. The work of funding the mission is part of the mission itself.

1 CHRONICLES 29:5

Asking Is Invitation

“Who then will offer willingly, consecrating himself today to the Lord?”

Many believe asking is burdensome or transactional. Scripture presents it differently. When David invited Israel to give toward the temple, he offered them a share in something eternal, and they responded with joy. Inviting generosity does the same. It invites people into joyful participation, not reluctant obligation. Donors are not interruptions to the mission. They are participants in it.

03

MATTHEW 6:21

Generosity Is Worship

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Giving transforms the giver. Generosity is not merely financial. It is spiritual formation. When people invest in Kingdom work, their treasure and their hearts move together, and they grow more deeply connected to God’s mission. This is why Scripture frames generosity as worship, an act of joyful devotion rather than obligation.

Asking becomes inviting.

Giving becomes worship.

Stewardship becomes discipleship.

What Scripture Says

The Biblical Case for Advancement

Many see advancement as a burden. Scripture frames it as a blessing, from the building of the Tabernacle to the call to store up treasure in heaven. Read the passages for yourself. Then share them with your board, your leadership team, or anyone weighing whether advancement belongs in ministry.
